Really loved the 2025: Costa Rica: Wild and Off-the-beaten Path Adventure. Great "non-touristy" feel on the whole adventure. Especially loved La Leona on the ocean - such wonderful views and ocean waves. Kelly and Pepe were both fabulous and did an extraordinary job to make the trip fun, comfortable and educational for all participants. Chocolate making visit was great. Kelly was always available and went "above and beyond" to be make sure everyone had a great experience and that we all understood everything we needed to know. She was always upbeat, enthusiastic and super helpful. Pepe was the best local guide I ever had on a trip - his excitement and enthusiasm was so fun and he also went above and beyond helping to find and photograph birds and animals and even arranging a driver and excursions on an extra day for us since we had to stay one more day to catch our plane early in the morning. One item that could be improved was the Corcovado Beach Lodge - possibly there are not other options in this small town, but the steep ladders in some rooms were not good, especially for older participants. Also the very loud music from 2:30 am to about 4:00 am was terrible, although I think that may have been out of the control of the lodge. Deborah Knowles

When we stepped out of the cab at our hotel, Kelly was at the front door greeting us with open arms. That's Kelly, our tour leader, super smart, caring, can do anything and exudes confidence. First impressions are powerful. Next Pepe appeared with his enormous camera (What a photographer) funny, passionate about his country and went to extremes to introduce us to so many animals, bird, snakes and ants. Us women became a family full of adventure and so excited about what surprises each day would bring. It was an over-the-top experience standing in the beautiful rain forests, smelling the ocean, swimming in bluest lagoons, tasting the delicious "tipico" Costa Rica meals and staying at off the grid safe facilities. Treat yourself to this fantastic adventure. You should know that this is my 7th Green Edventure Eco Trip!!!

Dominica is such a beautiful island. There is a reason it's called "Nature Island of the Caribbean". Snorkeling with sperm whales is an epic adventure! Being in the water with mothers and calves is a surreal experience. Waterfalls, mangroves, and sulfur springs make this trip an eco adventurers paradise!

I recently returned from an unforgettable adventure with Green Edventures, and I cannot recommend this trip highly enough! I traveled to Dominica for a 5-day Sperm Whale snorkeling experience, spending 5–6 hours a day on the water, and it far exceeded my expectations. The boat, Bingo, was incredibly comfortable, and the crew was outstanding—always friendly, knowledgeable, and attentive, keeping us fueled with fresh fruit throughout the day while we enjoyed our box lunches on board. We were thrilled to find whales on 3 out of the 5 days, which was such a gift. And on the days the whales were elusive, our captain took us to stunning snorkeling spots that made the day feel just as special. We stayed at the Fort Young Hotel, which was lovely, and the ocean views were absolutely breathtaking. I was also paired with a roommate I hadn’t met before, and she ended up being the best surprise of the trip! A huge shout-out to Amy Lowe, who did a phenomenal job coordinating our group. She kept everything running smoothly—from transportation to scheduling—and brought so much fun and energy to each day. Beyond the whale encounters, we explored Emerald Pool Waterfalls, Trafalgar Waterfalls, hot springs, the local market, enjoyed a 2-tank dive on the south end of the island, sampled local rum, and shared several memorable group meals. This trip was the perfect blend of adventure, nature, relaxation, and connection. If you’ve ever dreamed of being in the water with Sperm Whales or discovering the beauty of Dominica, this experience is truly one-of-a-kind. I highly, highly recommend it!

We had so much fun! The whales were amazing and interacting with them is life changing. The morning boat rides are a perfect way to start the day! The excursions were beautiful and adventurous. The sulphur springs were so relaxing and Titou Gorge was invigorating. The accommodations were very comfortable, and you cannot beat the view of the ocean everyday with the sun setting right out the window! There was plenty to do during down time too, some of us shopped, explored the historic churches and buildings, snorkeled, danced in local restaurants and sampled local fare. Others lounged by the pool and soaked in the hot tub by the ocean. The country itself is breathtaking!

As I reflect on the past year, my mind goes to one of the most amazing adventures I have ever had. Green Edventures’ Tanzania Women’s Safari (August 2025) was one of the most meaningful and impactful experiences of my life. Every day brought unforgettable moments, witnessing the Great Migration, getting up close with lions and elephants, and exploring the breathtaking Arusha National Park, Serengeti, Ngorongoro Crater, and Tarangire. The guides that Green Edventures partners with at Matangos Expeditions were incredibly knowledgeable, friendly, and passionate about wildlife and the natural environment. They helped us connect with the local culture and truly feel a part of Tanzania, even if only for a few beautiful days. They always seemed to know the best locations and hidden spots to see the Big Five. The experiences with the Hadzabe, Datoga, and Maasai communities were especially meaningful and invaluable. From the moment we landed, the trip was seamless; transfers, lodges, meals, and all safari logistics were perfectly organized and completely taken care of. The accommodations exceeded my expectations, the food was delicious. As a woman in my 30's, I felt safe and supported throughout the entire trip. Green Edventures also cultivated an incredibly kind and supportive group camaraderie. We laughed, shared stories, and made lifelong memories with both new and old friends. This was hands-down one of the best travel experiences of my life and left a lasting impression I’ll carry forever. If you’re dreaming of an African safari that combines wildlife, culture, connection, and adventure, Green Edventures delivers beyond expectations. Thank you!

Unforgettable Adventure in Peru with Green Edventures! My Green Edventures trip to Peru was nothing short of extraordinary. From start to finish, the experience was thoughtful, well-organized, and filled with heart. Our leader Tracey set the tone—kind, thoughtful, and fun, she kept our group connected and cared for, while adding a spark of humor and joy to every day. Guido, with his deep knowledge of Peru’s history and culture, brought ancient sites and local traditions vividly to life. Americo’s patience and huge heart made every hike and challenge feel achievable—his encouragement and care made such a difference. The itinerary was a perfect blend of adventure, culture, and connection. Highlights included: Cooking authentic Peruvian dishes in Cusco Exploring the cobblestone streets and vibrant markets of the city Hiking Palcoyo Rainbow Mountain with breathtaking 360° views Visiting Chinchero, Moray, and the salt mines of Maras The once-in-a-lifetime hike along the Inca Trail, arriving at Machu Picchu through the Sun Gate What truly pushed this trip over the top, though, was the group of incredible women I shared it with—smart, kind, and adventurous souls who made every day even more fun. This was more than a trip; it was an experience that blended history, nature, community, and personal growth. I left Peru with unforgettable memories, new friendships, and a deep appreciation for the Green Edventures way of travel. Highly recommend this trip for anyone who wants a meaningful, well-guided, and joyful adventure in Peru!

Working with Green Edventures has been an incredible experience. Their Iceland Knitting Tours for women are the perfect blend of culture, creativity, and community. As someone who has seen firsthand how these tours bring women together, it’s clear that the tours are much more than just a knitting experience. They foster deep connections with local artisans, allow participants to engage with Iceland’s beautiful landscapes, and truly embrace the collaborative spirit of knitting. Tara Short and her team make every effort to ensure a sustainable, educational, and enriching journey, leaving every traveler with not only a new skill but also lasting memories. Highly recommended!
